About this role

Park Nicollet is looking to hire an MRI Technologist to join our Radiology team!  Come join us as a Partner for Good and help us make an impact on the care and experience that our patients and their families receive every day. 

Position Summary:

Park Nicollet Radiology team members partner with providers to ensure that each patient has a safe, caring experience. We value teamwork and partnering because it promotes safety, quality, and caring for everyone we work with. Working the Park Nicollet Radiology means you make a difference every single day! Performs high quality and accurate diagnostic Magnetic Resonance Imaging in accordance with established protocols. Interacts with patients, clinicians, and staff in a professional and courteous manner. Applies knowledge of MRI safety, emergency protocols and procedures.  Performs tasks to comply with regulatory standards. Educates and trains others on the operation of all MRI equipment, procedures, image quality, and exposure techniques.

Work Schedule:

All shifts may be required as needed; however, the primary assignment will be on the day/evening.

Weekends, holidays and call as needed

Required Qualifications:

Licensure/ Registration/ Certification:

American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) registry is required and must be maintained. 

Advanced Registry in Magnetic Resonance required within 12 months after first shift working solo within modality. 

Must maintain ARRT (R)(MR)

In lieu of ARRT (R) requirement, an ultrasound or nuclear medicine certification may be considered based on business need.

Must obtain certification of BLS within 6 months and continuously maintain.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Problem solving skills and discretion with patient information is also required.

Computer knowledge or experience in specialized imaging systems such as three-dimensional reconstruction is required.

The ability to exercise good judgment is important. 

Must exhibit strong interpersonal and team building skills.

Demonstrates knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure safety of patients.

For MRI specialty positions (Cardiac, Breast, Prostate, 3T) experience in the specialty areas is preferred. If all other qualifications are met, an applicant with specialty experience may be selected over technologists without that experience.

Must possess the ability to operate the following pieces of equipment safely and efficiently: Patient Transfer Devices, Security System, Fire Alarms, Three Dimensional Workstations, Emergency Equipment, Power Injector, PC, printer, voice documentation devices, fax and photocopier. Proficient in EMR processes, and PACS.

Must be willing to train and maintain competency in the operation of new equipment and technology.

Preferred Qualifications:

Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:

Additional specialized training or experience in MRI is preferred.
