About this role

 

Regions Hospital in St. Paul, MN is looking for exceptional, patient focused Registered Nurses to join our Cardiovascular Progressive Care team and make a difference for our patients and our community. We are known for saving lives in our Level I Trauma Center, and our nursing staff are key to the exceptional care we provide each patient. As a nursing professional you will be empowered to manage your clinical practice and working environment through our Shared Governance Model, which focuses on evidence-based nursing practice.

 

The Cardiovascular Progressive Care unit is a 24-bed progressive & telemetry unit that has medical and surgical Cardiothoracic and vascular patient populations. This includes patients who have experienced acute cardiac and vascular events such as myocardial infarction, undergone open-heart surgery, and those requiring surgical or interventional strategies to restore circulation.

 

As a Registered Nurse in the CV PC, you will be responsible for performing patient centered, safe, effective, equitable, timely and efficient patient care based on the specific needs of the patient populations served, communicating effectively with patients, families, and the Care Team, participating as an effective unit and nursing department member and establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with other health care team members across the organization. 

 

Work Schedule: 0.7 FTE, 8 hrs during and every third weekend, 12 hr nights

 

Required Qualifications: 

•Degree in Nursing

•Licensed as a registered nurse by the State of Minnesota

•CPR for the professional rescuer or BLS for healthcare providers

 

Preferred Qualifications:

•BSN/MSN strongly preferred and generally expected that BSN/MSN is obtained within 5 years of hire
