About this role

Provides direct patient care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations, with pediatric care required for some specialty positions. This position uses a variety of occupational therapy techniques to restore individuals to maximum functional ability, independence, participation, and freedom from pain. Performs related duties as assigned. 

Inpatient care only

 

Work Schedule:  Casual; One weekend/month with 1-2 holidays/year.  Preferred to have availability to cover during weekdays also with willingness to flex to other sites if needed.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited school with a Doctorate, Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy required. 
  • Minnesota Occupational Therapy license 
  • Current Wisconsin Occupational Therapy license (Specific only to employees practicing in Wisconsin)
  • Current BLS- American Heart Association or American Red Cross (BLS for Health Professionals).
  • Proficient with communication and data processing equipment. 
  • Proficient in clinical equipment related to the area of expertise. 
  • Proficient in organization electronic medical record software.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Recommend experience as an Occupational Therapist, preferably in a medical setting.
  • Recommend membership in related professional organization such as the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA), the Minnesota Occupational Therapy Association (MOTA), or the American Society of Hand Therapists (ASHT).
