Job Description: Practitioner Staff Affairs Specialists are responsible for performing various key functions within the Practitioner Staff Affairs portfolio. The Specialist is accountable to the Manager to lead local physician recruitment and retention by providing strategic cross functional advice, analysis, support and resolution on a range of physician recruitment and retention matters locally, provincially and nationally to minimize the risk of service disruptions in communities throughout the province. He/she provides diverse expertise and leadership to medical Provincial Department Heads, Area Chiefs of Staff, Area Department Leads, Area Division Leads, Division Heads, operational leaders, primarily Executive Directors and Directors of varied departments and service lines as well as individual physicians to improve operations, achieve goals and resolve issues.

Experience

  • 3-5 years' experience working in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment

Education

  • Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA)
  • Bachelor of Commerce (BComm)
  • Business Administration diploma (DBA)
  • Human Resources diploma

Licenses

  • Valid Class 5 driver's license

Other Education and Training

  • Licensed, and in good standing, with regulatory body, if applicable
  • Undergraduate degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
