Job Description: The Public Health Inspector assists in the planning and delivery of public health inspection services. Public Health Inspectors are required to exercise considerable independent judgment in the course of a diverse program delivery. Program aspects include extensive legislation application and enforcement; health hazard assessment and abatement, communicable disease prevention and investigation, health promotion and education. "Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement"

Education

  • Bachelor of Science in Environmental Health (BSEH)

Licenses

  • Valid Class 5 driver's license
  • Certificate in Public Health Inspector (Canada) (CPHI(C))
