GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY:

As a member of the Human Resources Department, the Organizational Development and Workforce Planning Consultant assists the Saskatchewan Cancer Agency in enhancing ability of the Agency to deliver on strategic objectives by understanding current and future workforce needs and arranging strategies to reduce gaps. The Organizational Development and Workforce Planning Consultant is accountable for leading the development of the workforce planning infrastructure within the Agency. The Consultant will also provide the Agency with a full range of organizational development services, advice, and support in the areas of strategic leadership, human resource development, talent management, individual/team performance, organizational and cultural change and effectiveness, and workforce planning.  This position reports to the Manager Organizational Development and Workforce Planning.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Human Resources Management.
  • Minimum 3 year’s human resources experience inclusive of organizational development experience, preferably in a unionized environment.
  • Experience in workforce planning and succession planning would be an asset.
  • Change management certification, with direct experience leading change initiatives and developing change management skills in others is an asset.
  • A combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Travel is required.

  • Knowledge of Organizational Development best practices, models, and principles, with workforce planning expertise.

  • Ability to clearly articulate message to a variety of audiences at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong research and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize, multi-task and find the root cause to problems.
  • Ability to run reports and analyze and utilize data for strategic purposes.
  • Committed to continuous learning and self-development.
  • Strong commitment to patient/client service excellence.
  • Knowledge of LEAN methodology and project management skills is an asset.
  • Proficiency in a variety of computer software.
  • Knowledge of culturally responsive care for First Nations and Métis people.
