Job Description: The EMS Coordinator is accountable for the day to day co-ordination, planning, general logistics, operations and delivery of Emergency Medical Services in their community with strict adherence to the Saskatchewan Ambulance Act and Regulations and SHA policies, procedures and protocols.

Experience

  • Two (2) years experience as a Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic

Licenses

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certificate (ACLS)
  • Valid Class 4 driver's license
  • Basic Life Support Instructor Certificate (BLS)
  • International Trauma Life Support Advanced Certificate (ITLS)
  • Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic/Advanced Care Paramedic (EMT-P/ACP)
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certificate (PALS)
  • Health Care Provider Level C Certificate (HCP-C)
  • Clean Driver's Abstract

Other Education and Training

  • Pre-Hospital Care Program - Advanced Care Paramedic (ACP) Level

Competencies

  • Basic - Communication skills

  • Kindersley is located approximately 200 km west of Saskatoon
  • Must be able to respond to the ambulance within 10 minutes when on-call
  • Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement
  • Scheduled hours of work may be reduced during the rotation stipulated when a statutory holiday is recognized during that period.
