Job Description:
The Battlefords Treatment Centre is seeking a Site Manager to provide strong leadership and clinical supervision within our addictions treatment program. This role is essential in supporting both staff and clients, ensuring high-quality, ethical, and culturally grounded treatment services.
The Site Manager oversees day-to-day operations of the treatment center and provides direct supervision to the Addictions Counsellor team. This position plays a key role in supporting individuals on their recovery journey while ensuring program excellence, staff development, and adherence to accreditation standards.
Program & Clinical Leadership
- Provide leadership, guidance, and clinical supervision to Addictions Counsellors
- Support the development and implementation of individualized client treatment plans
- Manage group dynamics and promote active client participation
- Identify and respond to at-risk clients and crisis situations
- Ensure ethical practice, professional boundaries, and adherence to policies
Operational Management
- Oversee daily site operations and counselling staff schedules
- Review and approve timesheets and documentation
- Ensure accurate client records, reports, and discharge summaries
- Support accreditation standards (CARF) and quality assurance processes
- Participate in team meetings, training, and supervision
Client Support
- Provide one-to-one counselling as needed
- Encourage client growth across spiritual, emotional, mental, and physical well-being
- Support clients through recovery-focused programming and experiential practices
- Maintain a trauma-informed, respectful, and culturally safe environment

Education
- Background in addictions counselling, social work, or a related field
- Experience providing clinical supervision and team leadership
- Strong knowledge of addictions treatment and best practices
- Ability to manage crisis situations and support high-needs clients
- Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills
- Commitment to ethical conduct, professionalism, and continuous learning
Licenses
- RSW – Registered Social Worker (Saskatchewan Association of Social Workers)
- ICADC or CCAC – Certified Addictions Counsellor (with demonstrated experience providing clinical supervision)
Competencies
Clinical leadership, staff supervision, crisis intervention, program oversight, ethical decision-making, strong communication, organizational management, cultural awareness, and accreditation compliance.
Knowledge and Abilities
- Understanding of culturally grounded healing practices, particularly Indigenous approaches
- Ability to integrate cultural components into treatment programming respectfully
- Awareness of systemic barriers affecting clients in recovery
Other Information
- This position works in a 24/7 residential treatment environment and may require flexibility in scheduling, including occasional evenings, weekends, or on-call responsibilities.
- The Site Manager must be comfortable working with high-risk and high-needs clients, including individuals in crisis, or emotional distress.
- The role requires consistent professional boundaries, emotional resilience, and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
- The Site Manager is expected to model ethical leadership, accountability, and professionalism at all times.
- Experience working in trauma-informed, culturally grounded, or Indigenous-led healing environments is a strong asset.
- A criminal record check, and vulnerable sector check will be required prior to employment.
- This role involves regular documentation, reporting, and quality assurance responsibilities, including participation in accreditation and audit processes (CARF).
- The ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion is essential.
- A valid driver’s license is required.
