Monday-Friday, 0800-1630 (flexibility is required to cover weekends and out of hours when needed)

We’re looking for a Building Fabric Engineer to join our Estates Team based at The Princess Grace Hospital. This role is vital in providing a first-class building maintenance service to the hospital, covering project and schedule maintenance works.

What you’ll do:

  • General building maintenance including light plumbing works, carpentry, and door locks etc.
  • Assist engineers in the un-blocking of drains when required.
  • Assist engineers with air conditioning repairs and servicing.
  • Undertake minor building works including plastering, carpet laying and putting up shelves. Painting wall papering and decorating.
  • First fix repairs to general hospital fabric fittings (eg. furniture, lockers, windows etc...)
  • Painting, wall papering and decorating.
  • Monitoring stocks and ordering paints, plumbing, shelving and painting materials; door locking and fixing accessories.
  • Undertaking such tasks as may be issued by the Chief Engineer

What you’ll bring:

  • Relevant training in Building Services (NVQ/ City and Guilds)
  • Proficient at painting decorating, wall papering, carpentry, glazing, tiling, plastering, assisting electrical and mechanical engineers
  • Previous experience in a similar role, ideally within the Healthcare industry
