NOTE:  We are hiring for one position and are open to considering candidates who meet the qualifications for either Department Manager or Senior Department Manager.  The final level will be determined based on the candidate’s experience and skills.

Position Summary

 

The two roles share many operational responsibilities.  Both roles oversee teams of IT Managers responsible for the organization’s core banking application and information systems.  They work closely with business stakeholders to understand goals and align IT solutions with business needs.  They will engage in enterprise project lifecycles, including planning, requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and implementation.  maintain relationships with application vendors, monitor vendor performance and manage their contracts.

 

The roles differ in scope, strategic authority, and leadership level. 

 

IT Solutions Senior Department Manager:

Holds primary responsibility for leading departmental strategic planning. Sets direction, vision, and long-term IT solutions strategy.  Leads the department at a higher tier, often responsible for shaping overall departmental priorities, roadmap, and governance.

 

IT Solutions Department Manager:

Assists senior IT leadership with strategy. More execution-focused rather than primary decision-maker.  Executes direction received from senior leadership and ensures alignment with departmental goals.

 

Qualifications/Experience

 

  • Senior Department Manager - At least 10 of experience in administrating, supporting, and maintaining enterprise platforms.  At least 7 years of managing technical teams and managing enterprise IT projects.
  • Department Manager - At least 8 of experience in administrating, supporting, and maintaining enterprise platforms.  At least 5 years of managing technical teams and managing enterprise IT projects.
  • Comprehensive technical knowledge of core banking systems and integrated banking systems
  • Comprehensive knowledge IT service management best practices and frameworks.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of vendor management principles.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of applicable regulations, laws, and industry standards.
  • Expertise in designing and implementing complex network architectures.
  • Advanced skills in managing and maintaining enterprise-level systems and hardware.
  • Advanced understanding of Server, Desktop, and Application virtualization concepts and technologies.
  • Advanced knowledge of cloud architecture, security, and best practices for leveraging and integrating cloud technologies.
  • Expertise in developing and executing comprehensive disaster recovery plans
  • Advanced skills creating batch and PowerShell scripts for system maintenance tasks.
  • Expert knowledge of SDLC processes and best practices for managing software releases.
  • Advanced oral and written communication abilities.
  • Advanced proficiency in using Microsoft Office suite products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Able to perform advanced tasks such as automating processes with macros, creating detailed reports, and designing high-impact presentations.
  • Ability to apply complex logic or scientific thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret complex technical instructions and deal with multiple variables.
  • Ability to compute complex mathematical functions such as discount, interest, profit and loss, commission markup and selling price, ratio and proportion, and percentage.
  • Ability to lead and work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • High degree of adaptability

Salary Range

 

  • IT Solutions Department Manager - $93,714 - $149,942
  • IT Solutions Senior Department Manager - $117,142 - $187,428
