Position Summary

 

Works closely with the Enterprise Project Management Department Manager and Executive Leadership Team to develop strategies and manage high-priority enterprise-level projects at the credit union. This role is pivotal in driving enterprise-wide projects to support the credit union’s strategic objectives by leading multiple cross-functional project teams to achieve clearly defined results for medium and high-complexity projects with significant business unit impact.  The position requires the comprehensive use of all project management processes, as well as requirements and solutions analysis and planning, to ensure successful management of business activities.  Additionally, this role also provides leadership, direction and a motivational environment for the project teams.

 

This role supports the Enterprise Project Management Department Manager in building out the EPMO, including developing and implementing project management processes, procedures, and structure, as well as collaborating to develop the EPMO strategy and roadmap. It also involves mentoring department leads who are managing their own projects, assisting them in prioritizing and defining project objectives, business requirements, and guiding stakeholders through the project management framework.

 

Qualifications/Experience

 

  • Minimum of 6-8 years of project management experience, with at least 4 years of experience managing large-scale enterprise projects. 
  • Experience communicating with the Executive Leadership Team and facilitating steering committee meetings preferred.
  • Strong understanding and experience using project management tools and software for planning, tracking interdependencies, resource and risk management.
  • Familiarity of at least one project management software program or spreadsheet software, preferably Smartsheet.
  • General knowledge of the banking industry and demonstrated success in the management and implementation of medium to large, complex business and technology-driven projects.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience in applying project management best practices.
  • Working knowledge of Organizational Change Management strategies, practices and frameworks.
  • Knowledge of process and continuous improvement, including basic Six Sigma principles is a plus but not required.
  • Strong understanding of project financials, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Strategic and collaborative thinking with goal-oriented accountability.
  • Strong leadership skills, including the ability to mentor, coach, and motivate project team members, and resolve conflicts.
  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking, organizational, and planning skills; attention to detail.
  • Able to work collaboratively with other enterprise project managers to effectively navigate resource, budget, timeline constraints and ambiguity.
  • Excellent written, verbal, listening, interpersonal, and presentation skills to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization and external vendor partners.
  • Proficiency in operating related computer hardware and software, including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

 

Salary Range

 

  • Minimum - $82,910
  • Maximum - $132,655
