As a Principal Technical Program Manager working on D&D Digital, you will drive product development across teams in the US and Poland to enhance the official D&D digital toolset, D&D Beyond.

You will create and maintain effective product development processes and track project progress and priorities. All to improve development efficiency, identify project critical paths, and ensure products and features are delivered when expected and to specifications. You will collaborate with senior, product, and technical leadership across D&D, Wizards of the Coast, and Hasbro, engaging in regular communication regarding project status, risks, and change control.

You will establish a deep understanding of product design, technical design and implementation details and be expected to represent your product and engineering partners in meetings with partners. You will work to get commitments from dependencies, anticipate risks, prevent bottlenecks, and ensure high quality deliveries.

This is a hybrid role located in Renton, WA requiring 3 days a week in the office.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with multi-functional teams to define and prioritize product and feature requirements.
  • Ensure business and technical partner needs are aligned.
  • Define project scope, goals, and work that support business goals.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and budgets.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to deliver high-quality products on time and within budget.
  • Manage project risks and proactively identify and resolve issues that impact project delivery.
  • Make sensible trade-offs (e.g., time vs. effort vs. features) to unblock projects.
  • Raise urgent issues appropriately, engaging partner teams as needed, and driving them to closure in a timely manner.
  • Communicate project status, updates, and risks to partners and senior leadership.
  • Drive continuous improvement of planning and engineering processes.
  • Take a leading role in roadmap and rhythm of business planning.
  • Understand the D&D Beyond system, its limitations, scaling factors, boundary conditions, and reasons behind architectural decisions.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of proven experience working directly with engineering teams.
  • 7+ years of technical program management or production experience.
  • 5+ years of software development experience.
  • Experience managing programs across multi-functional teams, building processes, and coordinating release schedules.
  • Experience owning/driving roadmap planning and definition.
  • Experience working with global teams.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with an ability to concisely convey project status and risk at all levels of the company.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience building and evaluating system-level technical designs.
  • Experience managing broad architecture change programs across large number of engineering teams and organizations.
  • 5+ years of project management including scoping, scheduling, budgeting, and measuring quality, along with risk and critical path management experience.
  • Experience running projects across multi-functional teams, building sustainable processes, and coordinating release schedules.
  • Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership.
  • A solid understanding of, and appreciation for, D&D.

The base salary range for this position is $122,300.00 to $228,100.00. The hiring range will vary based on factors such as experience, skills, location and market conditions. Additionally, employees may be eligible for annual and long-term incentives as part of their overall compensation package.
