The Hartford Hospital Public Safety department has been in existence for over 40 years providing a wide variety security services to the hospital community. The department has over 90 members that are all State of CT certified. Officers receive additional training from a certified in house instructor upon hire.
The Manager of Public Safety leads and coordinates assigned operational activities for the Public Safety Department.
This position requires specialized skills, knowledge and the subject matter expertise related to safety programs, public safety, security and criminal procedure and emergency preparedness.
Associate’s Degree in related field or related experience required
Three (3) years of general experience in related fields required. Five (5) years of experience in hospital public safety or law enforcement preferred.
Two (2) years of leadership experience required
Valid driver’s license required
Connecticut Guard Card required
