Job Summary:

Under the general direction of the Manager of the Community Health & Engagement Department, this role coordinates community benefit reporting throughout the Hartford Region and provides administrative support to the Community Health & Engagement Department.

Job Responsibilities:

Community Benefit Reporting Activity:

·  Oversees hospital CBISA database for Hartford Region

·  Notifies CBISA reporters of any changes or upgrades to CBISA, quarterly reminders to reporters to enter program data, FY end reminders to all reporters regarding deadline and follow-up

·  Works closely with Manager of Community Health & Engagement, department of Finance, Tax Department, system office community benefit and Hartford Region to ensure community benefit is captured accurately and consistently.

·  Communicates with Lyon Software for troubleshooting or training for Hartford Region

·  Provides virtual and in-person training to hospital reporters and hospital departments about examples of community benefit and how to report programs in the CBISA platform.

·  Produces reports upon request.

·  Attends virtual and in-person meetings to discuss reporting requirements, updates, or changes to reporting structure, and any other federal or state requirements in reporting community benefits, including but not limited to system meetings and CHA meetings. 

·  Develops (in conjunction with the Manager of Community Health & Engagement) and disseminates trainings on Community Benefit and CBISA reporting.

·  Maintains a working knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local laws to ensure adherence and compliance with community benefit regulations and guidelines.

 

Department Coordination:

·  Performs required administrative tasks to support ongoing projects, programs and related workflows across the Community Health & Engagement department.

·  Assists in the development and updating of standard work for the department.

·  Coordinates and tracks material procurement and invoicing and performs related data entry.

·  Assists and attends when able department activities, including community events, health screenings, special events, etc., and related resources and team-based calendars.

·  Interfaces with other departments to ensure facility-related work orders, service tickets, and purchasing tasks are completed.

·  Responds to internal and external inquiries regarding events, services, and other department-related information as necessary.

 

Perform other related duties as required

 

    



  • ·        Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Health Administration, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience with CBISA or similar community benefit reporting platforms.

  • Strong understanding of IRS Community Benefit requirements and healthcare compliance.

  • Excellent communication and training and stakeholder engagement skills.

  • Proficiency in data analysis and dashboard creation (Excel, Empower DB, etc.).

  • Capacity to learn new applications, software, workflows that will enhance existing processes.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage change, solve problems, and influence across departments.

  • Detail oriented.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and balance workflow.

  • Experience in presenting complex data to executive audiences.
