Job Summary:
Primarily, supports investigators and research staff by designing, implementing, and overseeing data management systems and processes for research projects, ensuring data quality, integrity, and security throughout the research lifecycle. Key responsibilities include developing data collection systems, extracting data, validating data, establishing data standards, collaborating with researchers and cross-functional teams, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
Additionally, participates in the design, development and on-going production support of the department's own information systems which may integrate throughout the hospital enterprise to provide business solutions to customers which will improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the departments service delivery. This position reports to a Director in most areas.
This is an onsite position
· Three to five years relevant information systems and research experience.
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of information systems knowledge related to the field.
· Strong interpersonal skills and customer orientation required.
· Strong PC and analytical skills essential.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills
· Time management and organizational skills.

Experience:
· Required
o Experience with Epic (Clarity/Caboodle) data extraction (Cogito certification preferred)
o Experience with database models and data mining
o Proficient in SQL coding (SQL server, Oracle)
o Experience with ETL processes
· Preferred
o Statistical Analysis (SPSS, R, Python, etc)
o Markup Language experience (HTML, + CSS, XML, etc)
o Tableau software experience
o Web development experience
o ETL software experience (Pentaho, Informatica)
o Familiar with REDCap (Research Data Capture) application
o Object Oriented Language (Java, C++, etc)
Skills:
· Ability to efficiently work in a team environment, handling multiple projects and deliverables.
· Ability to perform data mining, statistical and quantitative analysis.
· Proven leadership, organization, problem solving skills.
· Excellent ability to articulate and document technical concepts on many levels- modify approach as required for differing audiences.
