The Director of PVC PVF will lead and coach a national team of specialists and category managers while driving business development, consultative solution selling, and market expansion for our vinyl pipe, fittings, valves, and associated products. This role will work closely with cross-functional partners and regional leaders to grow our PVC PVF portfolio, leverage Harrington’s existing customer base, and support the field sales organization through training and product enablement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a national team of PVC PVF specialists and category managers supporting the Harrington sales organization
- Partner with cross-functional teams to develop, maintain, and grow our PVC pipe and fittings product portfolio
- Create, manage, and deliver training programs for local sales teams focused on vinyl products, opportunity identification, and product attachment
- Develop and execute the PVC PVF business plan, including sales objectives and growth initiatives
- Forecast annual sales volume for existing and new product lines and customers
- Monitor market supply and demand, pricing trends, economic indicators, and competitive activity
- Facilitate sales meetings, pipeline reviews, and business reviews to assess progress and identify opportunities
- Coordinate market expansion and new customer penetration efforts with regional business leaders
- Engage and motivate team members around a shared vision and shared objectives aligned with Harrington’s strategy
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 5+ years (7+ preferred) experience in the filtration industry as a manufacturer or distributor
- 5+ years (7+ preferred) experience selling, supporting, or using vinyl products
- 2+ years managing a technical sales team
- Ability to engage customers at all organizational levels, including negotiations and presentations
- Strong understanding of strategic planning, resource allocation, and team leadership
- Ability to analyze sales history and market data to drive decision-making
- Strong verbal, written, interpersonal, and analytical skills
- Strong computer skills
