About the Role

This position will run the system-level test on the software platforms/products for globally developed automotive products by HARMAN. Perform bench and vehicle tests as per test strategy. Validate the system software on a regular basis using various test techniques to achieve the Software Quality and System Performance as per the defined requirements.

What You Will Do

  • Achieve a basic understanding of Embedded Systems and Automotive Products.

  • Achieve a basic understanding of Automotive Audio Systems and Infotainment Systems.

  • Perform system level testing on audio products in various environments in automated and manual setups.

  • Support dynamic vehicle level testing at HARMAN or Customer locations.

  • Identifies software and system issues and log issues into issue tracking systems with supporting log files and data.

  • Performs setup of modules/wiring and maintains test benches and test vehicles appropriately.

  • Develop test strategies and plans per business and product requirements.

What You Need to Be Successful

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite programs

Bonus Points if You Have

  • Knowledge of audio theory and concepts

  • Familiar with testing equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, etc)

  • Experience with coding languages (Python)

What Makes You Eligible

  • Must be currently enrolled in a related Bachelor's Degree program or higher at an accredited institution having completed your Sophomore year or later, taking at least one class in the semester/quarter before participation in the internship program, and returning to school for at least one semester upon completion of the internship program

  • Must have a cumulative 3.0 GPA

  • Be willing to work in an office in Novi, Michigan.

  • Able to provide your own housing and transportation to/from work.

  • Must possess unrestricted work authorization.

  • Successfully complete a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment

  • Must provide full work availability from May 18, 2026 through August 7, 2026 and be able to work 40 hours per week

Freshman: $21.00
Sophomore: $23.00
Junior: $25.00
Senior: $27.00  
Master: $32.00 
Doct: $38.00

Dependent on the internship offered, pay is based on factors, including without limitation, the applicant's level of education and business need.
