About the Role 

HARMAN’s diverse portfolio of businesses and customers offers interns a great opportunity to gain exposure to a wide range of projects and practices. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Business Analytics Intern to join our team. This role is ideal for students who enjoy solving problems, working with data, and translating insights into meaningful business recommendations. You will gain hands-on experience with real datasets, cross-functional collaboration, and exposure to strategic decision-making.  

 

What You Will Do 

  • Support the collection, cleaning, and analysis of data from various internal and external sources  

  • Assist with building and maintaining dashboards, reports, and data visualizations that track KPIs 

  • Help conduct exploratory data analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks 

  • Support automation of recurring reports or analytical processes  

  • Assist in translating analytical results into clear summaries for stakeholders 

  • Perform ad hoc analysis and reporting as needed 

 

What You Need to Be Successful 

  • Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor's Degree program in Sophomore year or later, or graduate/Ph. D program at an accredited institution taking at least one class in the semester prior to the internship program and returning to school for at least one semester upon completion of the internship program  

  • Degree must be in related area of work with courses in Business Analytics, Finance, Statistics, Economics or related fields. 

  • Must have strong oral and written communication skills and be able to confidently interact and present information to senior leaders 

  • Must work collaboratively with strong interpersonal and relationship building skills 

  • Must provide work availability from May 2025 - August 2025 and be able to work 40 hours per week 

 

Bonus Points if You Have  

  • Previous entry level work experience strongly preferred 

  • Strongly prefer candidates who live within a commutable distance 

 

What Makes You Eligible 

  • Be willing to work in an office in Northridge, CA 

  • Successfully complete a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment 

  • Must provide own housing and transportation to/from work 

  • Must provide proper work authorization
