About the Role
As an acoustic engineer, you will contribute to the design and development of sound and acoustic, support Product Specification and Program Execution teams. You will collaborate with quality and other teams. In this role, you will report to the acoustic Manager.
What You Will Do
Responsible for sound and acoustic design of speaker system like PC ,mobile phone, headphone, TWS etc.
Support Product Specification and Program Execution teams in the development of consumer products, define sound and acoustic requirement, interact with related functions as required.
Support sound quality control in collaboration with Quality and other team;
Reviews product designs with the Program Manager and supplier to insure the understanding of all product sound and acoustic requirements prior to supplier quotation.
Provides input to Product Specification team to match potential supplier's development capability with product requirements and design.
Responsible for assisting suppliers with sound and acoustics design help.
Monitor acoustics testing of new products and components at suppliers and Contract Manufacturers as required.
Responsible for conveying, communicating, and preserving original product definition, design integrity, performance and cost expectations, and scheduling requirements of assigned projects.
Perform acoustic and electrical tests on audio products using proper test systems as required.
Perform subjective listening test and evaluate sound quality of audio product.
Stationed at key suppliers design and manufacturing facilities, as an on-site "advocate" and "extension" of the development.
Assist line manager to improve sound development process.
What You Need to Be Successful
Must have good hearing and be capable of accurately evaluating sound quality of audio product.
Bachelor's degree in acoustic engineering.
At least 3 years experience working as a acoustics engineer in new product development.
Good spoken English language skills and write technical documents in clear and concise English.
Experienced with computers, Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Bonus Points if You Have
Golden Ears certification.
Good leadership and team management experience.
Experience in working with overseas companies in Europe and US.
Music related expertise.
What Makes You Eligible
Be willing to travel up to 10%, domestic and international travel.
Be willing to work in an office in Shenzhen.
