Graphic Designer

The Graphic Designer is responsible for the layout and design advertisements and a variety of documents such as forms, brochures, newsletters, logos, stationery, invitations, flyers and presentations.  

- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
- Knowledge of layout and design principles acquired through completion of a Bachelor’s degree in design, graphic design or related area; would consider combination of work experience and education in lieu of degree
- A creative, out-of-the-box thinker who can work collaboratively with copywriters and service line marketing coordinators to develop designs for various communications as they relate to specific business objectives.
- Must possess excellent communication and project management skills, along with the ability to work under constant deadlines.
- Demonstrates a working knowledge of print production and a thorough working knowledge of preparing documents for printing.
- Possesses excellent design skills with a strong attention to detail, quality, proofreading and creativity.
- Demonstrates proficiency in software packages for graphic design, including InDesign, Quark, Photoshop and Illustrator.
- Experience in web design highly preferred  
- Provides graphic services to hospital and its subsidiaries.
- Provides input and/or recommends layout and design options on projects, including newspaper ads, display boards, manuals and booklets, graphs and flowcharts, brochures and other collateral materials.
- Designs presentations in overheads, slides or PowerPoint.
- Designs banners, ads and other images for web sites.
- Revises existing forms and designs new forms.
- Proofreads work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Completes work according to department and corporate standards.
- Maintains confidentiality.
- Balances priorities to meet deadlines.
- Demonstrates ability to communicate effectively and work with others to accomplish goals and tasks.
- Performs other related projects as assigned.
