The Automotive Service Greeter provides a professional first impression in the service drive by welcoming customers, directing traffic flow, and initiating the check-in process. They are responsible for organizing vehicles, verifying appointments, and connecting guests with service advisors, requiring excellent interpersonal skills, a clean appearance, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Greeting: Greet guests promptly, professionally, and with a friendly attitude as they enter the service drive.
- Traffic & Parking Management: Guide vehicles to appropriate spots, manage the flow of traffic, and maintain an orderly service drive.
- Check-In Process: Verify service appointments, record mileage, and note down client information (e.g., VIN, tag number).
- Vehicle Preparation: Install protective equipment like seat covers, floor mats, and steering wheel covers.
- Logistics & Support: Move vehicles between the service lane and parking areas, and assist service advisors in directing customers. Occasionally assisting the Parts and Service Dept
- Administrative Tasks: Assist with answering phones, filing paperwork, or managing loaner/rental agreements
- Porter Schedule: Manage the porter’s schedule
