The only way to make this happen is if you truly love your craft and are deeply committed to growth.</p></div><p><strong>About the role</strong></p> <p>You’ll be part of a high-performing DevOps team responsible for evolving our cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and observability frameworks across environments.&nbsp;You’ll have the autonomy to design, build, and optimise our infrastructure systems while enabling developer productivity at scale.</p> <p><strong>What you’ll do</strong></p> <ul> <li>Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for all HackerRank environments from development to production.</li> <li>Automate infrastructure using Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes (EKS), ensuring scalability and reproducibility.</li> <li>Lead and evangelise DevOps best practices across engineering teams, CI/CD hygiene, observability, and cost-efficient architectures.</li> <li>Implement and maintain monitoring, alerting, and incident response systems using tools like OpsGenie, New Relic, and ELK.</li> <li>Optimise the performance and utilisation of key systems such as Redis, RDS, Redshift, ElasticSearch, and Kafka.</li> <li>Partner with security and platform teams to ensure compliance, resilience, and threat protection across cloud environments.</li> <li>Contribute to cloud cost optimisation initiatives and infrastructure efficiency projects.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Who you are</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bring 3+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Infrastructure Engineering roles.</li> <li>Deep expertise with AWS <em>(and ideally some exposure to GCP)</em>, including EKS, EC2, S3, SQS, and IAM.</li> <li>Strong experience with Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, and Linux (Ubuntu)</li> <li>Hands-on scripting or coding skills in Python or Java.</li> <li>Solid grasp of monitoring, alerting, and performance tuning principles.</li> <li>Strong collaborator who can partner with developers, QA, and leadership teams to drive platform improvements.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Even better if you have</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience implementing ArgoCD, Jenkins, or other CI/CD orchestration tools.</li> <li>Background in security engineering, threat modelling, or penetration testing.</li> <li>Knowledge of observability frameworks and modern APM tools (New Relic, Prometheus, Grafana).</li> <li>Proven track record in cost optimisation and infrastructure scaling for high-traffic systems.</li> <li>Experience working with multi-cloud or hybrid environments.</li> </ul> <p><strong>You will thrive in this role if</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bring a builder’s mindset to automate processes, simplify workflows, and empower others through effective tools.</li> <li>Being passionate about reliability, scalability, and developer experience.</li> <li>Enjoying owning systems end-to-end and solving production challenges hands-on.</li> <li>Balances technical depth with empathy, understanding that infrastructure is successful only when developers can move faster and safer.</li> <li>Take pride in creating calm out of complexity and designing systems that just work.</li> </ul><div class="content-conclusion"><p><strong>Want to learn more about HackerRank?</strong>&nbsp;Check out&nbsp;<a href="http://hackerrank.com/">HackerRank.com</a>&nbsp;to explore our products, solutions and resources, and dive into our story and mission&nbsp;<a href="https://www.hackerrank.com/about-us/">here</a>.</p> <p>HackerRank is a proud equal employment opportunity and affirmative action employer.
