I. Purpose of Position

• The primary role of this position is design verification and validation for new product development and legacy product upgrade. This role will work in Hach R&D organization in partnership with other R&D functions and business units to meet the prescribed design requirements, schedule, and production readiness.

II. Key Responsibilities:

• Working with project team to understand task scope, time schedule, definition of done of the task assignment. Build individual plan to align and commit to the project.
• Make product and system test plan/strategy to satisfy quality requirement. Understand product & system function test, performance test, reliability test and environment test, etc.
• Analyze product requirement and feature, identify product test scope and specification, review design test case according to requirement and design document and product standards with team member.
• Deep understand requirements and define test scope and specifications and finish test design, execute test and defect management, support commissioning on site. Complete test according to project schedule.
• Verify compliance test of developed product with specification and requirement of related standard and international standard.
• Manage and track defect to ensure product quality and follow test process.
• Takes up other department tasks and assignment as and when assigned by the department manager.
• Support team manager to define the team’s verification/validation strategy, tool chain.

III. Desired Background and Skill Requirements:

• Know test theory, test process, test design and defect management well. Can design test case and execute test.
• Have hardware/system test experience, solid understanding of hardware, include both electronica and other sensor/actuator working theory.
• Have capability of analyzing defect and can present advice to fix defect.
• Have knowledge of software testing process.
• Familiar with waterfall model, V model.
• Communicating with fluent verbal and written English.
• >= 3 years of product development experience in testing, experience in hardware, software development is a positive add-in.
• Open minded, able to present key points in simple way.
