<h2 id="your-impact">Your Impact</h2> <p>As a <strong>Senior Backend Engineer (m/f/d)</strong> at 7Mind, you’ll be part of a cross-functional team building technology that supports mental wellbeing at scale. You work end-to-end on features, take ownership of backend services and help shape a system that is reliable, maintainable and a pleasure to work with. </p> <p>In 2025, we fully rewrote and relaunched the 7Mind app and backend. Our new platform follows Domain-Driven Design principles and deliberately focuses on <em>“delightfully boring”</em> solutions: simple, robust and built to last. </p> <p>7Mind is part of the 7NXT Health Group (BuddyFit, Gymondo), bringing together strong engineering culture and a clear purpose: empowering people to live healthier lives. </p> <h2 id="your-mission">Your Mission</h2> <ul> <li>Build and evolve backend features end-to-end: from concept and implementation to deployment and monitoring</li> <li>Write clean, testable and maintainable code with a strong focus on long-term quality</li> <li>Maintain and improve integrations with third-party services</li> <li>Ensure a stable, observable and scalable backend in a B2C environment</li> <li>Take and share ownership of your services and share responsibility for the overall system</li> <li>Discuss trade-offs openly with product, design and other stakeholders</li> <li>Contribute to a strong engineering culture through code reviews, documentation and knowledge sharing</li> </ul> <h2 id="our-tech-stack">Our Tech-Stack</h2> <p>We use modern, well-proven tools and value pragmatic choices over unnecessary complexity: </p> <ul> <li>Elixir (with Phoenix, Broadway)</li> <li>Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, Google PubSub, OpenTelemetry, Terraform</li> <li>Github, Github Actions, Linear, DataDog, Google Cloud, Cloudflare</li> </ul> <h2 id="your-story">Your Story</h2> <ul> <li>5+ years of professional experience in <strong>software engineering</strong>, with a strong focus on backend development</li> <li>Proficiency in <strong>Elixir</strong> <em>or</em> any other modern backend language, paired with a strong interest in mastering Elixir</li> <li>Solid understanding of web fundamentals (HTTP, REST, caching, cookies, WebSockets, asset loading)</li> <li>Hands-on experience with <strong>CI/CD pipelines</strong> and cloud-based deployments</li> <li>A strong sense for clean architecture, maintainable and testable code</li> <li>Product mindset: you balance technical excellence with <strong>user value and business impact</strong></li> <li>Clear communication and documentation skills in <strong>English</strong></li> </ul> <p><strong>Nice to Have:</strong> </p> <ul> <li>Experience or interest in <strong>mobile or web development</strong></li> <li>Kubernetes configuration or administration</li> <li>Linux system administration</li> <li>RDBMS, SQL</li> <li>Experience with Golang, Kotlin or Dart</li> <li>Familiarity with <strong>Google Cloud or AWS</strong></li> </ul> <h2 id="our-benefits---just-for-you">Our Benefits - Just for You</h2> <p>Success requires positive energy.
