About this role

Due to our ongoing growth, we are excited to offer Shift Managers to join our bustling multiuser site in Sherburn-In-Elmet. While working with us, you will oversee the efficient operation of our warehouse, prioritising colleague wellbeing, health, and safety. You will ensure that all operational KPIs are met, maintaining the highest standards in every aspect of the job.

 

This is a full-time, permanent role, working on a shift pattern 4 on and 4 off Night, 7:30am to 7:30pm

We’re looking to offer a salary of £40,080, and 23-days annual leave, inclusive of bank holidays. What you’ll do on a typical day:

 

  • Identify cost-saving initiatives and implement corrective actions where appropriate to maximise the efficiency of the warehouse operation
  • Demonstrate and promote a customer-focused approach to all warehouse activities
  • Responsible for monitoring and reporting on target expectations and achievements through standard reporting processes
  • Create and maintain a positive team atmosphere and inclusive culture, by actively encouraging involvement from all colleagues

 

What you need to succeed at GXO:

 

  • Experience leading a large team of warehouse colleagues within a fast paced and FMCG environment
  • Strong IT skills, including warehouse management systems and Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Previous experience in a role focussing on continuous improvement would be advantageous
