RN, Quality Improvement Specialist (Outpatient)
Location: La Crosse, WI
FTE: 1.0 (40 hours/week)
Shift: Business hours, typically 8am-4:30pm
Pay: Starting pay of $79,268.80/year, with more based on experience 
Weekend/Holidays: No weekends or holidays! 
 
Emplify Health by Gundersen is seeking a RN, Quality Improvement Specialist to join our Quality and Patient Safety department. This role offers the opportunity to advance system wide quality initiatives and support clinical excellence while living in the beautiful Coulee Region.
 
About the Role
The RN, Quality Improvement Specialist serves as a proactive consultant, educator, and advisor in system design and quality improvement practices. This clinically focused role emphasizes patient safety, evidence based practice, and population health integration.
You will partner with directors, managers, and frontline staff to provide expert guidance, research, education, and tools that support continuous improvement in patient care. The specialist also facilitates communication and required work across committees and the nursing council structure to strengthen clinical processes and workflows. This role supports compliance with regulatory standards and promotes collaboration across internal and external partners.

  • Lead and support performance improvement projects

  • Serve as a resource on evidence based practices and regulatory requirements

  • Support compliance with Joint Commission, CMS, state regulations, and organizational policies

What You Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN)

  • Minimum of 5 years of RN experience 

  • Active Wisconsin RN license at time of hire

  • BLS CPR with hands on learning

  • Experience with data analysis, quality improvement, or LEAN methodology is a plus
