We are seeking a Restaurant Manager for the Spray Beach and Blvd hotels in Long Beach Island! This position requires open availability including weekends and holidays. We are seeking a working Restaurant & Manager to oversee daily operations and ensure a positive dining experience for guests. This role is responsible for leading the front-of-house team, maintaining service standards, and assisting in restaurant management. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader who thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Job Summary:
The Restaurant Manager is responsible for ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, maintaining high service standards, and assisting in staff management. This role involves overseeing shifts, resolving guest concerns, and ensuring a positive dining experience. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who can effectively support both front-of-house staff and back-of-house coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
Guest Experience & Service Oversight:
· Ensure all guests receive friendly and professional service.
· Address and resolve guest complaints or special requests in a timely manner.
· Monitor restaurant cleanliness, ambiance, and overall guest satisfaction.
Daily Operations Management:
· Oversee floor operations during shifts, ensuring efficiency and teamwork.
· Assist with seating arrangements, reservations, and wait times.
· Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards.
· Monitor and manage opening/closing procedures.
Staff supervision & Training:
· Support and lead restaurant staff, including servers, hosts, food runners, and bartenders.
· Conduct pre-shift meetings to communicate updates, specials, and service expectations.
· Help train new employees and provide on-the-job coaching.
· Ensure team members adhere to hotel and restaurant policies, including uniform and appearance standards.
l & Inventory Support:
· Assist in monitoring sales performance and cost controls.
· Support management in inventory tracking and ordering supplies. Monthly inventories.
· Help with cash handling, tip distribution, and shift reconciliation.
· Weekly productivity reports
Collaboration & Communication:
· Work closely with the kitchen team, bar staff, banquet staff, and hotel management to ensure smooth operations.
· Communicate guest feedback and service insights to the restaurant manager.
Qualifications:
· 1 to 2 years of Management experience in a casual or full-service restaurant.
· Strong understanding of restaurant operations and guest service expectations.
· Excellent leadership, communication, and critical thinking skills.
· Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
· Knowledge of Toast POS systems and basic restaurant financials is a plus.
· ServSafe or equivalent food safety certification preferred.
· RAMP certification required.
