About this role

Summary

We are seeking a Senior Technical Product Manager to join our world-class product team.  We own the cloud platform layer which supports the foundation of our leading P&C applications, and we define the key platform features that will drive performance, scalability, resiliency, and adoption. This role entails working with global teams spanning product management, P&C insurance domain experts, operations and engineering.

Job Description

What Will You Do

● Gain an in-depth understanding of Guidewire applications, the cloud
ecosystem that enables them, the market, competition, and user requirements.
● Work collaboratively with Engineering, UX, Sales, Marketing, Operations, and
Enablement teams to define and maximize the value of our solutions.
● Develop smart solutions to complex problems while collaborating as needed
across regions, product areas, and functions.
● Collaborate with cross-functional teams to discover and test solution, and then refine and prioritize them.
● Build and communicate roadmaps and requirements with teams and the
appropriate stakeholders.
● Launch new products and features, test their performance and iterate quickly.
● You will be the power user of the products you build.

We are looking for someone who:
● Has a strong understanding and experience with AWS services (preferably
certified as AWS Cloud Practitioner)
● Can define and articulate product roadmaps with solid use cases and
associated ROI.
● Will detail feature requirements/specifications with clear acceptance criteria.
● Is able to establish a shared vision across the company by building consensus on priorities leading to product execution.
● Will collaborate with engineering and operations teams, through the design,
development, testing, release, and maintenance of the product to ensure its
quality and successful delivery.
● Can find and lead opportunities for revenue growth, customer adoption and
improved customer satisfaction.

● Is comfortable managing product backlogs because there should be a priority for getting things done.
● Demonstrated ability to embrace AI and apply it to your current role as well as data-driven insights to drive innovation, productivity, and continuous
improvement.


But it would be great if the candidate has:

● been certified as an AWS Cloud Practitioner
● an understanding of containerization and container orchestration (Docker & Kubernetes).
● familiarity with AHA and JIRA
● can travel 5-10% of the time as and when necessary


Our Ideal Candidate

General
1. Cloud/SaaS product experience vs. on-prem software.
2. Strong preference for being Cloud certified. Can be
a. AWS Cloud Practitioner
b. Microsoft Azure Fundamentals
c. GCP equivalent of the two above certs
3. Docker containers and Kubernetes technical knowledge (this may be really
difficult to find, so it's a preference)
4. Strong knowledge of OKRs, ROI
5. Prior PM experience (in a technical capacity) 3-5 years preferably
6. Articulate

1. Customer Need: Comfortable communicating with internal and external
customers, understanding their underserved needs and documenting use
cases
2. Product Strategy: Ability to research & distill customer needs, market needs,
analysts voice, SME point of view into actionable and pragmatic product
strategy & requirements.
3. Collaboration: Has a multiplier mindset and demonstrates ability and
importance to collaborate with cross functional teams.
4. Result Driven: Data driven product manager that stays ahead of market and
customers

5. Communication: Articulate to internal & external stakeholder both the
business value level impact to GW goals.
6. Motivation: Person should have deep love and appreciation for the job of a
product manager.
