As a Senior Engineering Manager, you will lead a high-performing team to architect, design, and deliver next-generation SaaS products. Job Description

What you’ll do

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 18–20 engineers, fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment.

• Drive the design, architecture, and delivery of cloud-based SaaS products, ensuring operational excellence and security.

• Conduct regular design and architecture reviews, contributing hands-on expertise and strategic direction.

• Champion the adoption of AI and data-driven practices, embedding GenAI and automation into daily operations and product offerings.

• Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver innovative solutions that address evolving customer needs and support Guidewire’s mission.

• Manage project priorities, resource allocation, and team performance to achieve measurable outcomes.

• Support the launch of new product categories and international expansion initiatives.

What you’ll bring

Required

• 15+ years of Software Development Experience especially in SaaS and/or PaaS

• Minimum 5 years of experience managing engineering teams, preferably in SaaS or cloud-based product organizations.

• Proven track record of leading teams of 15+ engineers, with strong people management and mentoring skills.

• Strong programming experience in Java, Go, Python or any high level languages

• Proficiency in public cloud technologies (AWS preferably), Containerization, Kubernetes, CI/CD systems, and DevOps practices

• Solid understanding of system design principles, distributed systems and architecture

• Strong ability to drive strategic initiatives and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.

• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

• Commitment to fostering an inclusive, high-performance culture.

Preferred

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.

• Experience with AI/ML tools and integrating AI into product development.

• Background in insurance technology or enterprise SaaS platforms.
