本ポジションについて

Guidewireプロフェッショナルサービス部門には、ビジネスアナリスト、ファンクショナルコンサルタント、テクニカルインテグレーションコンサルタントが在籍しており、Guidewire アプリケーションをお客様が導入するにあたり、お客様と SI ベンダーに対して支援を提供しています。プロジェクトは複雑で、お客様の具体的な要件に応じて、3 ヵ月から 2 年かかる場合があります。プロジェクト期間中、チームはお客様の業務要件を特定し、要件を満たすために当社製品の標準機能を活用しつつ、必要に応じてコンフィグレーションを加えたソリューションを策定し、Guidewire アプリケーションと他の社内システムや社外システムと連携する作業を支援します。

ガイドワイアのコンサルタントは、業務の大部分をお客様のビジネスチームおよび技術チームと共にオンサイトで過ごすことが求められます。この職務は主に日本国内で行われますが、ガイドワイアが事業を展開している他の地域で勤務する機会もあります

Guidewire コンサルタントは、業務のおおよそ半分をお客様の業務部門チームや IT チームとオンサイトで過ごし、残り半分はリモートで作業します。本役割は、主に日本国内での勤務ですが、当社が事業を展開している他の地域向けにリモートで作業を行う機会もあります。


The Guidewire Professional Services organization includes business analysts, functional consultants, and technical integration consultants who worktogether to help customer and SI vendors to implement Guidewire applications at customer sites. Our projects are complex and can last from three months totwo years depending on the specific customer requirements. During a project, the team will identify customer business requirements, identify solutionsleveraging OOTB capabilities coupled with configuration to meet those requirements, and integrate the Guidewire application to other internal or externalsystems.
Guidewire consultants are expected to spend the majority of their time on-site with the customer business and technical teams. This is primarily a Japan-based role but there may be an opportunity to work in other regions that Guidewire operates in.

• 日本のお客様と日本語で効果的に協力し、経営目標、技術要件、プロジェクトの目標を理解します。

• ワークショップを主導して要件を収集し、課題を特定し、ベストプラクティスに基づいてソリューションを提案します。

• 業務要件を機能仕様とシステムコンフィグレーションに変換します。

• ガイドワイアのベストプラクティスを採用して業務プロセスを最適化するようお客様にアドバイスします。

• お客様のワークフローとの整合性を確保しつつ、お客様の要件を満たすようにガイドワイアアプリケーションをコンフィグレーションします。

• ガイドワイアのソリューションをお客様の特定のビジネスニーズに合わせて調整することで、お客様との強固な関係を構築します。

• 提案されたソリューションを検証し、実現可能性を実証するために、概念実証（PoC）を実施します。

• 効果的な知識移管のためにコンフィグレーション、機能設計、連携プロセスの文書化を行います。

• 基幹製品機能を充実させるために、Guidewire の製品管理部門に対してコンフィグレーションのコンセプトを共有します。

これらの役割は、お客様に対して Guidewire Software を代表する存在です。コンサルタントとして採用される方は、お客様と密に連携しながら、Guidewire の製品管理部門が製品の長所と短所を常に把握できるよう努めることが期待されます。本ポジションでは、技術的な適性、ビジネスプロセスの理解、そして顧客対応スキルといった、独自の組み合わせが求められます。

必須のスキルと経験：

• 日本語が母国語でない場合、日本語能力試験（JLPT）1級レベルの日本語能力と日本の商習慣に関する理解、人間関係構築能力

• 英語が母国語でない場合、英語力（TOEIC 700 点以上または同等の資格、もしくは語学力チェックに通ること）。英語で資料を読み書きでき、英語で社内コミュニケーションが取れること。

• 通算 7 年以上のソフトウェア開発とコンサルティングの経験（各領域における経験は3年以上）

• 優れたコミュニケーション能力、リーダーシップ、組織力、顧客サービス能力

• 柔軟かつ積極的に労働倫理を遵守するマインドを持ち、自立して業務を遂行できる能力

• 小規模チームやアジャイル開発環境での実務経験

• 以下の専門知識：
  
  - 高度な Web アプリケーションの開発
  - 2 年以上のオブジェクト志向のプログラミング経験
  - 2 年以上のクラウド プラットフォーム（AWS、GCP）の経験
  - 新製品や新規ビジネス分野について、迅速に学習する能力
  - お客様との話し合いを主導し、複雑な状況を切り抜ける能力
  - データモデリングから UI／UX 設計まで、開発の全ライフサイクルの経験

望ましいスキルと経験：

• 保険契約および損害サービス処理を含む、日本の損害保険の経験や知識

• システムアナリスト／コンサルタントの経験

• Guidewire 製品の設計、コンフィグレーション、テストの実務経験

• Oracle アプリケーションや SAP などのコンフィグレーション可能なソフトウェアを使用したビジネスプロセスとコンフィグレーションの経験

• SDLC および関連するプロジェクトの開発ライフサイクルプロセスについての理解

• スクリプト言語と最新の web フレームワークの知識や経験

Job Description

Key activities include:

• Collaborate effectively with Japanese customers in Japanese to understand their business goals, technical requirements, and project objectives

• Lead workshops to gather requirements, identify challenges, and propose solutions based on best practices

• Translate business requirements into functional specifications and system configurations

• Advise customers on adopting Guidewire’s best practices to optimize their business processes

• Configure Guidewire applications to meet customer requirements while ensuring alignment with their workflows

• Build strong relationships with customers by aligning Guidewire solutions with their specific business needs

• Perform Proof of Concept (PoC) activities to validate proposed solutions and demonstrate their feasibility

• Document configurations, functional designs, and integration processes for effective knowledge sharing

• Work with Guidewire product management to share configuration concepts and further develop core product functionality

These roles represent Guidewire Software to our customers. The successful consultant is expected to closely with our customers while making sure that Guidewire product management is kept abreast of product strengths and weaknesses. The position requires a unique blend of technical-aptitude, business process understanding, and customer-facing skills.

Required skills/experience - all:

• If Japanese is a second language, JLPT 1 level proficiency and practical knowledge of Japan's business environment with proven building skills

• If English is a second language, TOEIC score of 700+ or equivalent fluency; ability to pass language assessment if needed

• Over 7 years of combined experience in software development and consulting, with no less than 3 years

• Strong communication, leadership, organizational, and customer service skills

• Ability to work independently, with a flexible and proactive work ethic

• Experience working in small teams and Agile development environments

• Technical expertise in:

- Advanced web application development
- 2+ years of Object-Oriented Programming
- Cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) with 2+ years of experience
- Ability to learn new products and business domains quickly
- Proven ability to lead customer discussions and navigate complex situations
- Full development lifecycle experience, from data modeling to UI/UX design

Desired skills/experience:

• Experience or knowledge of non-life insurance in Japan, including policies and claims processing

• Systems analyst/consultant experience company

• Hands-on experience with Guidewire products for design, configuration, and testing

• Experience with business processes and configurations using configurable software such as Oracle Applications and SAP

• Understanding of the SDLC and related project development lifecycle processes

• Proficiency in scripting languages and modern web frameworks
