Job Summary:

Natick Boathouse, managed by Guest Services, is hiring summer camp counselors for our 2026 season. It's a weekly day camp that runs Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm and serves children ages 8-15. Full-time, weekday availability is necessary for this position.

To provide supervision of the water to ensure safe boating operations. Teach beginning and intermediate boating skills to campers and junior staff.

Job Description:

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Teach beginning and intermediate paddling and sailing skills
  • Leading games and activities
  • Leading/teaching groups of children
  • Supervising of children ages 8 - 15
  • Supervision of on-the-water activities
  • Working weekday hours. Weekend hours might also be required
  • Other duties as assigned by Camp Director and Site Manager

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

  • Customer Service and Leadership skills
  • Intermediate knowledge of boating such as kayaking, sailing etc.

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS

  • Red Cross CPR, First Aid, Lifeguard or Equivalent Preferred. (Training available once hired.)
  • 1 year teaching experience with at least one type of boating discipline such as sailing, kayaking, SUP, or canoeing preferred.
  • USSailing, ACA Certifications preferred
  • Basic proficiency in speaking Spanish, Portuguese, and/or Hindi preferred

PHYSICAL WORK REQUIREMENTS

The work required is moderately physically demanding and requires a medium level of physical fitness. You will be required to do the following: Standing, Lifting, Twisting, Kneeling, Kayaking, Swimming, and Squatting.
