Senior Fullstack Ruby / Ember Software Engineer

In this role, you will design, build, and maintain scalable, reliable, and high-quality applications. You bring deep hands-on experience, sound technical judgment, and the ability to contribute beyond code—supporting architectural decisions, mentoring peers, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful solutions.</p><p>This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy working across the stack, value clean code and maintainability, and take ownership of complex technical challenges.</p><p><strong>Education</strong></p><p>•Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field.</p><p><strong>Professional Experience</strong></p><p>•5+ years of experience building and maintaining software applications.</p><p>•3+ years of professional experience working with Ruby, preferably using Ruby on Rails.</p><p>•Experience working in fullstack environments with modern frontend frameworks.</p><p><strong>Required Technical Skills</strong></p><p><strong></strong>•Strong experience with Ruby and Ruby on Rails.</p><p>•Frontend development experience using Ember.js (or strong familiarity with modern JavaScript frameworks).</p><p>•Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.</p><p>•Experience designing and consuming APIs (REST, GraphQL, gRPC).</p><p>•Solid understanding of relational databases and SQL.</p><p>•Experience with version control systems (Git, GitHub, GitLab).</p><p>•Familiarity with Agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).</p><p>•Experience writing and maintaining automated tests (unit and integration tests).</p><p>•Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins).</p><p>•Experience working with containers and containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes).</p><p>•Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.</p><p><strong>Soft Skills</strong></p><p>•Advanced English proficiency (written and verbal).</p><p>•Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.</p><p>•Effective time management and prioritization skills.</p><p>•Comfortable mentoring other engineers and contributing to team growth.</p><p>•Proactive problem solver with a high level of ownership and accountability.</p><p>•Open to learning new technologies and adapting to evolving requirements.</p><p><strong>Nice to Have</strong></p><p>•Experience implementing security best practices (e.g., OWASP, OAuth).</p><p>•Knowledge of performance optimization techniques (caching, query optimization, code tuning).</p><p>•Experience working in distributed or remote teams.</p><p><em>At Growth Acceleration Partners, we're an equal opportunity employer committed to building a diverse and inclusive team.
