Job Overview:
GrizzlyTrek is currently seeking one Journeyman Millwright to join our Valued Clients team at a carbon capture plant in Squamish, BC. This is a full-time position, ideally suited to an individual with strong mechanical experience in industrial process environments.
Responsibilities:
Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical equipment within a carbon capture facility.
Perform maintenance and overhauls on pumps, conveyors, rotary valves, and blowers.
Diagnose mechanical issues and complete corrective and preventive maintenance.
Read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
Ensure all work is completed in accordance with safety regulations, site procedures, and industry standards.
Work collaboratively with operations and maintenance teams to support plant reliability.
Qualifications:
Red Seal Journeyman Millwright certification.
Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in an industrial environment.
Proven hands-on experience with pumps, conveyors, rotary valves, and blowers.
Strong mechanical troubleshooting and alignment skills.
Ability to work independently in a safety-sensitive environment.
Valid driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in carbon capture, chemical processing, or similar industrial facilities.
Chemical industry experience considered a strong asset.
Familiarity with preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
Work Environment:
Industrial carbon capture plant environment.
Combination of indoor and outdoor work.
Exposure to rotating equipment, process systems, and industrial noise while adhering to strict safety protocols.
