Summary:

Work on a global project to support migration from paper-based production records to electronic systems. The intern will support automation engineering staff to provide detailed network design drawings and design specifications as needed. In addition the intern will work in a diverse team to provide technical support for the startup and commissioning of a new automation platform in an existing manufacturing facility.

Knowledge in networking and proficiency with computer programming is highly desired for this assignment but not required. Intern will learn on the job the skills necessary to fulfill the project expectations. The GE Global Automation department focus is in design, development and roll-out of automated process and utility systems for all of the Grifols sites worldwide. Interns with a desire and/or curiosity to explore a career in this field are encouraged to apply.

 

Primary Responsibilities/ Tasks:

  • Learn about MES and EBR systems and support the project team
  • Work with cross functional team to incorporate requirements into MES and EBR design documentation
  • Learn the basics of Emerson DeltaV to support commissioning
  • Learn about DeltaV graphics and work with project team to convert existing graphics to DeltaV Live.
  • Work with Data Integrity project team to test new Rockwell HMIs.
  • Strong technical writing skills is a must

 

Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science as rising junior or senior with plans to return to school Fall 2026
  • GPA at least 3.0
  • Must have transportation to and from Grifols office in Clayton, NC
  • This is an onsite position
