Overview

Blush Salon And Spa is looking for a nail technician to add to our team. In this role it will be your job to look after your clients nails with manicures, pedicures and other nail treatments. Your tasks will include maintaining the nail bed, giving exceptional hand and foot massages, applying various nail treatments and extensions as well as specializing in nail art.

What You’ll Be Doing

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

• Performing manicures and pedicures

• Will need to examine and evaluate the condition and appearance of nails to provide advice on proper nail care

• Using special tools and electrical equipment on nail enhancements

• Maintaining safe work practices and hygiene standards

• Providing advice about nail products

• Ability to answer client questions and teach them how to maintain the treatments that you apply to their nails

• Greet everyone in salon with integrity, courtesy, and a friendly smile

• Display confidence and professionalism at all times

• Interact cooperatively with other team members to provide a seamless customer experience

• Present an exemplary professional standard in dress, personal grooming, hairstyle, makeup, language and healthy lifestyle

• Anticipate the needs of the guests and provide them with utmost assistance

• Ability to educate guest on the services and products needed to properly maintain the looks and goals of each guest.

• Ability to have flexibility and effectively multitask

• High level of organizational skills

• When not servicing clients, tend to additional job responsibilities

• Maintain high energy in order to work effectively in a fast paced environment

• Complete each service within the time frame designated for our level

• Continuously promote yourself, the spa, and the salon to ensure that you are growing productively

• Maintain opening and closing duties

• Practice the highest standard of sanitation and tidiness

• Maintain acceptable level of cleanliness of workstation, surrounding area, and equipment as required by law

• Follow health code procedures, including equipment sanitization/ sterilization

• Maintain towels, supplies, and environment

• Participate in all coaching, salon/ company meetings, and training sessions

• Know pricing, services, and policies of the Salon + Spa and have the ability to sell and upgrade

• Follow Greenleaf Hospitality Group procedures

• All other duties that the Spa General Manager has set forth

What You Need for this Position

• 2+ years of experience in similar role

• Polly gel and builder gel experience preferred

• Ability to work independently

• Attention to detail and strong desire for continued growth and development

• Knowledge of nail care, techniques, products and tools

• Able to stand for long periods of time, up to 8 hours or more

• Be licensed in treatments that are required to perform on clientele

• Excellent customer service skills

• Able to stoop and bend

• Able to lift up to 40 pounds from time to time

• Able to safely work with potentially dangerous chemicals and equipment

• Able to comply with safety and health code standards

• Able to handle responsibilities that require repetitive motion tasks
