We’re looking for a strategic and dynamic Marketing Manager to lead marketing initiatives that drive brand awareness, engagement, and growth. This role requires a strong project manager who can successfully execute marketing campaigns across our Kalamazoo-based sports, dining, and entertainment businesses.

What You’ll Be Doing

May include, but not limited to:

Strategic & Growth Leadership:

  • Develop and execute marketing strategies that drive attendance, repeat visitation, and loyalty across hospitality, sports, dining, and entertainment experiences.

  • Grow engagement and long-term value through promotion of events, themed nights, and experiential offerings.

  • Identify and activate opportunities to enhance the end-to-end guest journey and differentiate the brand in a competitive market

  • Identify opportunities to enhance the guests’ journey and differentiate the brand.

  • Assist marketing leadership in creating and implementing marketing campaigns to promote GHG brands, aligning with business objectives.

Innovation & Technology:

  • Identify ways to automate marketing processes and leverage technology to improve efficiency and scalability.

  • Stay current on emerging marketing tools, platforms, and best practices.

  • Champion innovative approaches to engagement and communication.

Content Creation:

  • Collaborate with the marketing team and unit leaders on creating compelling content for various marketing materials such as websites, social media platforms, email, and advertisements to align with overall brand strategies. 

  • Staying up-to-date on industry trends and capturing both photo & video content to support promotions and campaigns.

  • Coordinate with the design team on graphic creation and in-house photoshoots, and assist in liaising with outside production companies as necessary.

Digital Marketing Coordination:

  • Provide support in utilizing digital marketing channels effectively, including organic and paid social media, SEO, SEM, and content marketing.

  • Lead the strategy behind digital marketing initiatives while partnering with media and agency teams to ensure effective execution.

Collaboration:

  • Operate effectively in a flexible, organized work environment, balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution.

  • Work closely with unit leaders & teams on new and ongoing projects.

  • Be the marketing expert while collaborating across multiple business units.

  • Attend recurring meetings, maintain organized agendas, and provide follow-up communication as needed.

Community Partnerships & Events Assistance:

  • Support leadership teams in event participation to enhance brand presence in the local community.

Performance Tracking and Reporting Aid:

  • Use data to guide decision-making, including campaign performance, member segmentation, and spend behavior.

  • Leverage CRM and Northstar (or similar) platforms to track insights, trends, and opportunities.

  • Analyzes ROI and reports on marketing performance

  • Translate analytics into actionable recommendations that improve marketing effectiveness.

  • Assist in monitoring the performance of marketing campaigns and initiatives using metrics such as sales data, website traffic, and social media analytics.

  • Help prepare regular reports to evaluate the effectiveness of marketing efforts and identify areas for improvement.

  • Set clear goals, track progress, and continuously optimize results.

Market Insights & Trends Awareness:

  • Develop and lead guest surveys to assess brand perception and identify growth opportunities.

  • Perform competitor analyses and stay updated on industry trends and best practices to identify new marketing opportunities and techniques.

What You Need for this Position

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, or a related field.

  • 5-7 years of experience in marketing coordination or a similar role.

  • Strong understanding of marketing principles, strategies, and best practices.

  • Proficient in using marketing tools and software, including social media platforms such as Meta, email marketing software, and content management systems.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create compelling marketing content.

  • Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. 

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.

  • Prior experience with Google Analytics and Sprout Social is a plus.

  • Familiarity with Adobe Suite - Including Indesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator is a plus.

  • Familiarity with Northstar is a plus

  • Ability to work occasional nights and weekends to support community or brand events

  • Self-motivated and proactive with a strong sense of initiative and problem-solving skills.
