Job Description
The Host ensures that members and guests receive a warm, genuine welcome and are seated efficiently and comfortably. This role manages dining room flow, reservations, and communication between service areas while maintaining an inviting atmosphere. The Host also assists with takeout orders and supports the service team when needed to provide seamless hospitality.
Greets members and guests with warmth and professionalism, maintaining a welcoming presence at the host stand and throughout dining areas.
Assists with reservations, seating requests, wait times, accommodations, and anticipates guest needs to enhance the overall dining experience.
Manages reservations and table flow, ensuring the dining room is inspected, prepared, and paced effectively for service.
Coordinates with servers, bartenders, and leadership to support smooth seating, section rotation, and service execution.
Takes and enters to-go orders accurately in the POS system, ensuring orders are assembled, checked, and delivered with care.
Supports service operations by assisting with opening, reset, and closing procedures, clearing tables, and maintaining a clean, polished environment.
Communicates member preferences, concerns, and feedback promptly and respectfully to leadership.
Upholds food safety standards, cleanliness, and professionalism, addressing spills, breakage, or disruptions discreetly.
Participates in staff meetings, pre-service huddles, and training sessions to reinforce service and safety standards.
Warm, welcoming communication style with a polished, professional presence and strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to multitask, stay organized, and remain calm during high-volume dining periods.
Genuine passion for creating memorable dining experiences and engaging positively with guests.
POS system experience is helpful but not required; training will be provided.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, with frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive motions.
Must be able to push, pull, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds.
