Summer Camp Kitchen Assistant 

Dingman's Ferry, PA| Part Time, Seasonal| $370 - $380  per week

What is needed for this job as our Summer Camp Kitchen Assistant:

• 18+ years of age

• High school diploma or equivalent and at least one year of experience working in a kitchen or culinary environment

• Desire and ability to learn tasks as assigned

• Enjoys working with children of all ages

• Exhibit strong leadership skills; possess a passion for member service, building and maintaining a culture of member service excellence

The responsibilities we will trust you with as our Summer Camp Kitchen Assistant:

• Assist in the food preparation as directed by the Food Service Director, including cutting, peeling, and washing vegetables for salad bar as needed

• Mix juice or drink mix for each meal

• Assure that the milk machine is always full and operating correctly

• Clean spillage in kitchen and dining room

• Prepare and pack food for all overnight campouts and cookouts

• Wash all dishes glasses and silverware in industrial dishwasher

• Wash all pots and pans by hand as needed

• Make sure dishwasher area is clean and safe at all times

• Clean up the kitchen and dining hall after each meal and assure that all food is safely stored in an appropriate time frame and kitchen is ready for the preparation of the next meal

• Take out trash from kitchen and dining room to dumpster

• Sweep and mop kitchen and dining room to assure that it is always kept clean and safe

• Assist in the packing away of bulk delivery of food and kitchen supplies

• Help in any area of kitchen or dining room as requested by the Food Services Director

• Assist in all camp clean-up on the last day of the summer season
