Gymnastics Program Coordinator
Full Time, Hourly | $17.00-$19.00 per hour

What is needed for this job:
21+ years of age, 5+ years of experience in gymnastics, with college degree preferred or equivalent amount of experience
Nationally recognized certifications in the gymnastics field resulting in a technical knowledge of the program
USAG Safety Certification for Competitions Preferred with strong knowledge of gymnastics competitions including experience at the National state and/or national level
Must complete USAG Safety and 101 Gymnastics level training
Have strong communication skills with desire to meet everyone at their level of experience
Enjoyment from working with children and keeping positive relationships with their parents
Ability to work with others. Sensitive to others
Ability to perform activities which require sustained concentration and attention
Exhibit strong leadership skills; possess a passion for member service, building and maintaining a culture of member service excellence
The responsibilities we will trust you with:
Have a high degree of knowledge and nationally recognizable certifications in the program you instruct, e.g. USA Gymnastics
Report directly to the Senior Gymnastics Director and coordinate the delivery of programs for members
Assist with coaching responsibilities with the competitive team program
Assist with training and supervising staff and volunteers
Responsible for scheduling and organizing birthday parties specific to gymnastics
Ensure safety and cleanliness of the program area and adherence to all YMCA safety standards and rules
Ensure YMCA program instruction is in accordance with YMCA program standards. Ensure adherence to YMCA progressive standards and quality.
Encourage and support staff volunteers and students to provide an enjoyable YMCA
Coordinate or conduct the evaluation of program skills and the completion of progress reports (skill assessments) for each session as well as communications for parents
Incorporate character development objectives into the program to reinforce the YMCA values of Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility
Be reliable and Inform supervisor of any conflicts at least 24 hours before the workday of any issues or items required
Ensure that all (participants) players have exited the facility and that the facility is left clean and orderly
Participate as a part of the YMCA staff team in providing a safe and enjoyable environment
Attend staff meetings and trainings as required
Provide excellent service to members and participants by communicating all YMCA rules and ensuring that you are accessible and identifiable
Complete timely reports of incidents, complaints or compliments of the games
