About this role

Join our mission to help individuals with mental illness and addictions to lead healthy and productive lives. GCBHS has openings for a licensed Social Worker (Ohio LSW or LISW) or Counselor (Ohio LPCC) to help children and families as a School Based Therapist at Gamble Montessori Elementary in Westwood. The ideal candidate will have an Ohio LSW, LISW or LPCC and experience working with children and families in behavioral health treatment.

This is a great position for a LSW who wants to get experience and attain their independent license! We offer free license supervision hours and continuing education credits for a Counselors and Social Workers.

The School Based Therapist role provides mental health therapy services to children and families in a school based setting. Connect with principals, teachers, students and parents to develop rapport and trust to grow caseload

The requirements for this job include: 
  • MSW or MA-Counseling.
  • Ohio LSW, LPC, LISW, or LPCC. 
  • Prior experience working with children and families through work experience and/or internships.
  • Be flexible to negotiate the politics of the school.
  • Must be available to counsel families after school hours.
