STARBUCKS SUPERVISOR

The Shift Supervisor assists the Manager and Assistant Manager during their scheduled shift and is responsible for running the outlet in absence of the Manager and Assistant Manager. This position assists Counter Attendants during busy times, training new Team Members and delegating tasks. The Shift Supervisor is also responsible for ensuring fast, friendly and courteous service in the Marketplace at Graton Resort & Casino.

1. Responsible for practicing, supporting and promoting Graton Resort & Casino's Company-wide culture and demonstrating Graton Resort & Casino's Service Standards at all times.
2. Understand and follow all policies and procedures as directed by management, suggesting and initiating necessary changes and improvements.
3. Maintain a calm demeanor during periods of high volumes or events to keep outlet operating to standards and to set a positive example for the team.
4. Anticipate guest and outlet needs by constantly evaluating environment and guests for cues.
5. Foster and promote a cooperative working climate, maximizing productivity and Team Member morale.
6. Deliver exceptional guest service on shift.
7. Follow health, safety and sanitation guidelines.
8. Establish and maintain par levels for products, supplies and equipment.
9. Conduct pre-shift huddles with the team and review all information pertinent to the day's business.
10. Respond and solve guest opportunities in a timely and efficient manner.
11. Assist with month-end inventory.

Qualifications

1. Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members and Management in both written and verbal form.
2. High School Diploma or equivalent.
3. One (1) year food and beverage supervisory experience.
4. Ability to handle a flexible schedule and work weekends, holidays and all shifts.
5. Ability to delegate, empower and evaluate Team Members to achieve desired objectives with minimal supervision.
6. Sound judgment in all decision making abilities, even when dealing with difficult situations where guests, team members and the overall long-term profitability are not adversely impacted.
7. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
8. Must be at least 21 years of age.
9. Must be able to obtain a gaming license from the Graton Gaming Commission.
10. Must possess or obtain a California Food Handler Certification.

1. Requires manual dexterity to operate job related equipment.
2. Must be capable of lifting 50 pounds, push 150-250 pounds on a pushcart, in/out of walk-ins of -10 degrees to 140 degrees with or without assistance.
3. Requires the physical ability to climb, bend, reach, walk, stand, grasp, pull and push for the duration of shift.
