Our clients consist predominantly of highly reputable and internationally based financial services entities including insurance and reinsurance, hedge and private equity funds, banks & trusts and various other entities and service providers within the financial services community.

 

Within the Corporate department we perform audits for the financial services, media, aviation, utilities, healthcare, educational, and hospitality industries including large group audits.

We are looking for an Audit Senior Manager to join our growing Corporate team.



About the role:



This is a leadership role within our Corporate audit practice, and we are looking for people with proven experience leading teams in performing audits in the industries listed above.  Our professionals are thought leaders providing personalized attention and quality service to our clients. By joining our Audit department, you will work closely with our audit partners, directors, fellow managers and senior managers to provide audit services to our portfolio of corporate clients, both in the financial services sector and other sectors. The role includes but is not limited to the following responsibilities:

 

  • Participating in leading and management of the business and team.
  • Working with the other Managers, Partners and Directors on allocations, resourcing, people and clients.
  • Managing the audits for a portfolio mainly consisting of commercial entities, including group entities.
  • Reviewing audit work and client deliverables prepared by the team for accuracy and compliance.
  • Reviewing financial statements in accordance with the relevant accounting standards.
  • Engaging with your clients and responding to their needs on a timely basis.
  • Advising your clients on technical audit, accounting or business process matters arising as a result of audit work. This may include technical research.
  • Recruitment and supporting the retention of high-quality people.
  • Formulating professional development plans for individuals on the team to grow and develop.
  • Contributing towards managing the firm’s business, either through developing people, processes, approach, or new business.
  • Will be responsible for the review and supervision of qualified accountants.
  • Additional duties may be assigned based on operational business needs.



What you need:

 

We are looking for fully qualified CA / ACA / ACCA / CPA with 7+ years’ relevant experience to join our fast-growing team. 

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a business-related field is required.
  • An advanced degree (e.g. Masters in Accounting, MBA, etc.) is a plus.
  • Proficient in English (verbal and written) and must possess good communication skills
  • 4-6 years continuous post qualification experience in financial services - audit experience.
  • 1+ years’ senior audit manager experience in a medium to large public accounting firm or a professional services firm
  • Big 4 audit experience is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical, technical, and auditing skills including proficiency in US GAAP and IFRS, and ISA and US GAAS rules and standards required.
  • Ability to take ownership of your portfolio and meet deadlines, have attention to detail and be a team player.
  • Experience working on group audits, where you have been managed the group team involved in consolidation and group reporting from component teams.
