Course: Microscopy and Instrumental Analysis Methods in Forensic Science

This course provides an introduction to microscopy. Concepts such as compound, comparison, and scanning electron microscopy are covered. The course also covers instruments commonly used in the analysis of forensic evidence. Various chromatography, spectroscopy, and detection methods are covered in relation to the forensic evidence for which they are used.

What You Will Do:

  • Facilitate weekly main discussion forums to engage students in the online classroom
  • Adhere to weekly grading requirements, deadlines, and timeframes
  • Respond to students’ questions and emails within the established timeframes
  • Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement, and Mission of Grand Canyon University

What You Will Bring:

  • Preferred: Doctorate in Forensic Science.
  • Minimum: Master’s in Forensic Science or a closely-related field, or a doctorate in physical or life sciences.
