About this role

Purpose within the Organization:

The purpose of this position is to assist the Food Services department by acting as a cashier for Chaparral Lopes Mart.

Responsibilities Related to Purpose:

  • Provides attentive and responsive customer service.
  • May arrange merchandise to make attractive displays.
  • Records all sales, collects money, operates a cash register and follows all cash handling procedures as required.
  • Maintains required stock of products and may participate in ordering, inventory, and stocking activities.

Qualifications:  

  • Must comply with any dress code and PPE requirements.
  • Must have a Maricopa County Food Handler’s Card and non-slip shoes.
  • Prior customer service and/or food service experience a plus.
  • Must be able to work weekday mornings, evenings, and weekends.

Education:

Grand Canyon University is committed to a student first policy.
Therefore, all applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements to be considered for student employment:

  • Enrolled at GCU as a full-time student in a Bachelor’s program or Master’s program. 
  • Retain a 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor level student or a 3.0 GPA as a Master level student.
  • Maintain good financial and academic (SAP) standing with the University.
     

You may be subject to termination if you fall below the minimum requirements.

Shift Availability: We are looking hire for all shifts, weekend availability is required.

Pay Rate: Minimum Wage
Anticipated End Date: June 30, 2026
