About the Role

We are partnering with a leading semiconductor manufacturer specializing in ultra-low power, low-voltage integrated circuits used across automotive, consumer, industrial, and wireless applications.

We are looking for a System Architect to lead the system-level architecture of RFID IC products, with strong focus on real-world usage within end-to-end RFID ecosystems.

Reporting to the Technical Leader of the RFID Business Unit, you will work at the intersection of system engineering, IC design, and product strategy—shaping how RFID products integrate into future UHF and NFC ecosystems. You will collaborate closely with IC designers, product managers, application engineers, and customers, while actively contributing to industry standards and forums.

Responsibilities

  • RFID Standards & Ecosystem
    • Monitor RFID standards, market trends, and competitive technologies
    • Actively participate in standards organizations and industry forums
    • Identify innovation opportunities and differentiation at system level
    • Represent the company at customer meetings, webinars, and tradeshows
  • System-Level Design
    • Define product-level requirements and device specifications
    • Translate customer use cases into system and IC requirements
    • Collaborate with IC design teams to refine and implement system architecture
    • Develop and maintain high-level functional IC models (e.g., Python)
    • Perform system performance analysis (timing, power consumption, behavior)
  • Product & Sales Support
    • Support product management and sales by articulating system-level value and features
    • Deliver technical training with application engineers (internal & external)
    • Act as RFID subject matter expert for advanced customer use cases
  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in system engineering, IC design, or product management within the semiconductor industry
  • Hands-on experience with RFID technologies (tags, readers, EPC Gen2, NFC)
  • Deep understanding of UHF and NFC RFID ecosystems (tag → reader → software → system)
  • Strong understanding of the semiconductor development lifecycle
  • Ability to translate customer requirements into system and device specifications
  • Willingness to travel ~10%
  • Autonomous, proactive, and results-driven
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally with engineering, product, and sales
  • Confident communicator with customers and technical stakeholders
