Reporting to the Strategic Communication Specialist, this role involves regular monitoring of various information sources, coordinating updates from key personnel, and compiling internal reports on Alberta Wildfire’s operations and predictive services during wildfire season.
The primary role is to route, compile and ensure the consistency of urgent information from multiple sources, while keeping to tight timelines amidst evolving crises.
The successful candidate will leverage their expertise in communication, as well as basic information collection and data interpretation, to inform internal reporting.
This role requires a general understanding of wildfire management, prevention, and operations, along with strong skills in communication.
Work will be performed in accordance with relevant legislation, policies, and guidelines set out by Forestry and Parks and the wider provincial government.
