We are looking for a dedicated individual to lead and support our Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) program.
As the Health and Safety Program Assistant, you will report to the Forestry Safety Programs Lead and operate within the framework of the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHS Act), Regulations, and Code. Your mission will be to assist the safety team and offer vital support for the strategic implementation, operation and enhancement of the Forestry Division's OHS program. This program plays a key role within the broader Government of Alberta (GoA) OHS program.
Responsibilities:
We are looking for a dedicated OHS Assistant who is passionate about workplace safety and committed to supporting our team’s well-being. You will assist in maintaining safety standards in a high-intensity, hazardous environment, particularly during fire season, when our workforce doubles.

What We Offer:
Travel within the area and throughout the province will be required as part of your responsibilities to coordinate with Ministry staff and colleagues, other government departments, clients, and other external stakeholders.
