Are you an experienced procurement professional who understands trade agreements, construction procurement, and best practice contracting? Are you looking for an opportunity to lead a high performing team and support key capital initiatives across Alberta?
Reporting to the Director, Capital Program and Project Delivery, the Procurement Lead manages a team of two Procurement Specialists and support staff. You will ensure that all procurements and contracts issued by the department comply with provincial trade agreements and Government of Alberta procurement requirements.
This position plays a key role in developing and maintaining business practices, process maps, solicitation templates, and contracting standards that support Capital Programs and Capital Maintenance Renewal (CMR) projects. You will also provide expert advice on procurement processes related to architectural, engineering, construction, and specialized consulting services.
Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will apply strong analytical skills to interpret complex policy, assess risk, and provide recommendations to leadership.

Minimum Requirements:
University graduation in a related field such as business, engineering, or architecture or a professional designation as a Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) issued through the Purchasing Management Association of Canada, plus 4 years progressively responsible supervisory experience or equivalent as described below.

Hours of work are 8:15 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday. This is a full-time position working 36.25 hours per week.
