The Ministry of Jobs, Economy, Trade and Immigration is looking for a strategic leader with investigations and supervisory experience to join Occupational Health and Safety Program Delivery within the Safe, Fair and Healthy Workplaces Division as the Manager of Investigations.
Reporting to the Director of Investigations, the Manager will lead a team of professionals responsible for the investigation of all reportable incidents under Alberta’s Occupational Health and Safety legislation. This position is responsible for a team of Lead Investigators, Technical Advisors, Investigations resolution staff and an Investigations Assistant, with oversight of all investigations.This includes serious incidents, injuries and fatalities at worksites.
The Investigations Manager liaises with internal and external stakeholders including staff, OHS Compliance, third party subject matter experts and Specialized Prosecutions with the Ministry of Justice where charges under the Occupational Health and Safety Act are pursued.

This is a permenant full-time position working 36.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
