The Technology Support and Operations Division uses a one-government approach to Information Management and Technology (IMT) governance, decision-making and service delivery across the Government of Alberta (GoA) balanced with individual business partner needs. This broader lens facilitates enhanced data sharing, collaboration, reduction in data duplication and innovation support to ensure effective IMT solutions and service delivery across the government to provide better services to Albertans.

  • Enhance and support systems architecture, configuration, and maintenance for Electronic Information Management (EIM).
  • Provide technical expertise across multiple projects while maintaining strong client relationships.

Qualifications

Required: 

  • University degree in a related field such as Computer Science, Information Technology. 
  • 2 years of related experience in supporting the design, development, and maintenance of EIM (Electronic Information Management).
  • Experience in software development. 

 

Equivalencies: Equivalencies are considered:  

    • A related two-year diploma in related discipline from a recognized post-secondary institution and four (4) years related experience; or
    • A related one-year certificate from a recognized post-secondary institution and five (5) years of related experience.

 

Assets:

  • Knowledge of OpenText Content Server 23.x to 25.x server administration.
  • Knowledge of OpenText Content Server 23.x to 25.x Web Services, workflow development and LAPI development.
  • Strong knowledge of Installing, configuring and Administrating Content Server 23.x above, Brava and Blazon addon’s in Enterprise Envionment.
  • Knowledge of OpenText Content Server 23.x to 25.x extensions including:
    • Extended ECM, Spider, XML Workflow, Electronic Signatures, Active view, Object Importer, Content Intelligence, WebReports, CLM Services For Sharepoint, Blazon, and Brava! 
  • Knowledge of Oracle UCM and associated extensions.
  • Knowledge of Documentum and associated extensions.
  • Knowledge of Kofax Capture Server administration and development.
  • Knowledge of Adlib Server administration.
  • Knowledge of Content Aviater extension.
  • Knowledge of MSSQL 2016, and MSSQL 2016, MSSQL2019 and MSSQL2022  Server Utilities.
  • Adherence to programming principles, techniques, practices, logic and database design.
  • Adherence to application design and change management procedures.
  • Knowledge of Windows 11 – Operating System, Microsoft Office software, and Open Text Livelink. 
  • Knowledge of Windows Server 2022 including security configuration, security configuration and IIS configuration.
  • Detailed knowledge of data and its relationships so that appropriate database scans for adhoc queries by clients and management can be generated.
  • Ability to develop and debug code in HTML, HTML5, VBA Script and JavaScript.
  • Ability to develop and modify code in PowerShell and Batch files.
  • Ability to develop and debug code in C# (.NET 4 or later), VB Script and MS SQL (2008 and later) may be required.
  • Ability to develop and modify Cascading Style Sheets may be required (CSS).
  • Ability to develop in ASP.NET using the Model View Controller (MVC) architecture with Entity Framework may be required.
  • A strong willingness to learn and adopt emerging AI technologies, ensuring the CCS team remains at the forefront of innovation.

Term of Employment: Permanent full-time position.

Hours of Work: 36.25hrs/ week – Monday to Friday

Location: Remote across Alberta

This positon is eligible for remote work. You must reside in Alberta to work remotely.
